I am committed to the long run.
I never want you to have to wonder where we stand on social justice issues.
We unequivocally believe Black Lives Matter and we encourage all members of our community to commit to building an anti-racist business.
We believe trans rights are human rights and we respect everyone's gender identity.
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, including but not limited to: Racism, Fatphobia, Sexism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Xenophobia, etc.
We take our responsibility seriously as moderators of our digital space and strive to keep our community and calls as safe, productive & supportive as possible for everyone in our community. Inside our program, we have clear community guidelines & protocols in place if anyone breaches our guidelines.
If you don’t agree with any of the above, don’t join our programs. ✌️
This page exists to document my commitment to building an anti-racist business. This is not meant to be a page to prove how “woke” I am or what a great ally I am, but instead to provide transparency, hold myself accountable and be explicit about my values and how I am acting upon those values in concrete, tangible ways.
Below are specific commitments and action steps I have taken inspired by Hello Seven’s Anti-Racist Small Business Pledge.
I am open to and welcome feedback. I believe being called out is an act of love. It takes courage and shows people care enough to let you know when you’ve caused harm or made a mistake. I look at feedback as a chance to be better. I am committed to listening to feedback, acknowledging conflict and creating space for members of my community to be heard.
In no way am I an expert or authority on allyship or anti-racism, nor do I claim to be. I am learning and unlearning alongside everyone else engaged in this work. I’m going to fuck up and make mistakes. There is too much at stake for my feelings or fear of messing up to get in the way of action. I am committed to learning, reflecting, and continuing when I make a mistake.
I am committed to open conflict and allowing discomfort.
As I grow and start to hire, I am committing to spending at minimum 30% on hiring Black employees, vendors and contractors. I will use Black-owned software and services whenever possible.
Outside of recurring donations, I am committing to search for Black-owned versions of whatever I am looking for, whether it’s household goods, books or business resources.

2021 Update:
70% of my business budget (memberships, contractors, service providers, etc.) was invested in black women / women of color. We are currently calculating our 2022 breakdown.
I am committed to investing a portion of my monthly company budget into the Black community.
- I do not use AAVE language in any of our messaging, language, marketing emails, etc.
- I don’t use “digital blackface” in any of our marketing, programs, etc.
- I ask pronouns at every event we host, but do not require them.
I am committed to bringing anti-racism & equity into my marketing and products.
